CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator/Miller
Location: Surrey
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator or Miller looking for your next challenge in a high-precision environment?

We're working with a well-established engineering company based in Surrey that is expanding its Machine Shop team.

The Role
As a CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Programming 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
  • Creating and refining offline programs using EDGECAM
  • Setting up machines and producing first-off components to tight tolerances
  • Producing clear, accurate machine set-up documentation
  • Staying current with advancements in tooling and machining techniques
  • Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support continuous improvement
  • Mentoring new staff and maintaining a safe, clean working environment

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
  • Experience with offline programming via EDGECAM
  • Ability to work on 3, 4, and preferably 5 axis machines
  • Confident in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring equipment
  • Methodical, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines

Desirable Qualifications

  • Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
