Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Machinist specializing in CNC and manual machining for a custom marine engineering environment in Chester, Nova Scotia. This full-time, permanent role focuses on custom parts rather than production lines, with Mastercam experience preferred.

You'll program CNC machines using Mastercam, set up and operate CNC (~70%) and manual (~30%), read engineering drawings, and collaborate with engineering and inspection teams. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of CNC and Mastercam experience (preferred).
• Hands‑on Mastercam programming experience.
• Experience in custom or small‑batch machining.
• Ability to work with a variety of machines including manual equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Machinist - CNC & Manual (Custom Marine Engineering)

About The Role

This is a custom machining position and not a production‑line role. Mastercam experience is preferred.

Most of our work is custom-engineered, including new builds, repeat work, and complex repair or legacy components.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine custom parts for marine and mechanical systems
• Program CNC machines using Mastercam (mandatory)
• Set up and operate CNC (approx. 70%) and manual (approx. 30%) machining equipment
• Work with stainless steel and aluminum
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Collaborate with engineering and inspection teams

Required Experience And Qualifications
