Job Title: CNC Machinist (Weekend)
Job Description

Join our dynamic Machining Department as a CNC Machinist responsible for operating a variety of machines and working with materials such as plastics and steel. This weekend role involves ensuring precision in the machining process and maintaining an organized workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate various CNC machines.
  • Machine plastics and steel with accuracy.
  • Determine tooling, tool-paths, setup methods, and fixtures to produce parts.
  • Edit programs to optimize machining processes.
  • Organize the production area's workflow efficiently.
  • Conduct quality control to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Read and analyze blueprints accurately.
  • Interpret G-Code for machining operations.
Essential Skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a CNC machinist.
  • Fluency in Mastercam Software.
  • Proficiency in setting up mills and lathes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Willingness to work the afternoon shift if needed.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Positive attitude and reliability.

Work Environment

Work with HAAS CNC machines in a fast-paced machine shop department. Collaborate with a multicultural team in an indoor plastics production facility with proper ventilation. The open production floor encourages active engagement, and the environment supports continuous communication and teamwork. This weekend shift runs Friday through Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with compensation for 40 hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langley Township, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
