Job summary

Victaulic in Brampton, ON is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator responsible for setup and operation of CNC Lathe and Milling machines. You will read blueprints, adjust programs to meet tolerances, and ensure the accuracy and quality of machined parts.

The role requires 2–5 years CNC experience, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and the ability to follow engineering instructions. Shifts include days, afternoons and nights, and the position offers competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings.
• 2–5 years of CNC experience (Lathe and Milling).
• Ability to follow engineering instructions and specs.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Crane training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC machinery, including Lathe and Milling machines, for production.
• Read and interpret drawings to maintain required machine tolerances on parts.
• Modify and adjust CNC machining programs and offsets to meet drawing specifications.
• Use various precision measuring instruments to conduct First-off and in-process inspections.
• Replace tools and inserts as needed based on in-process inspection results.
• Make subassemblies using hand tools and power tools.
• Operate manual machines as required.
• Package and apply proper identification to machined parts for shipping.
• Follow standard work practices, method sheets, and instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles and FEM requirements.
• Report equipment and tool malfunctions or damages to the supervisor.
• Complete other production-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
