Job description

3Desco Groupe is currently looking for a CNC Machinist – Junior. We are located in different locations on the South Shore of Montreal (St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil and St-Hubert), in Montérégie (Granby) and in the greater Quebec City area (Lebourgneuf). A leader since its beginnings in the design and manufacture of aeronautical and precision mechanical tools, 3Desco Groupe is now recognized as a 'one-stop shop' for its ability to deliver turnkey projects in the manufacturing sector. We continue to grow by delivering custom products and services designed according to our rigorous quality control and operations management processes.

Job Description

As part of your duties, you must produce or repair precision parts using both equipment and ensure efficient operations in order to optimize manufacturing. You will also have to:

  • Machining parts according to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws;
  • Operating 3 to 5 axis machining centers or CNC lathes;
  • Performing setup assemblies according to work instructions;
  • Working as a team and collaborating in a autonomous;
  • Test and verify the conformity of the quality of manufactured parts using conventional measuring instruments and adjust the settings as needed;
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, the machine and the maintenance of the tools and measuring instruments provided;
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial comparators, etc.;
  • Ability to read and understand a technical drawing and its tolerances;
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance of the machine;
  • Perform any other related tasks related to positions.

Skills Sought

  • DEP in machining techniques and ASP numerical control or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of metrology and reading technical plans;
  • Bilingual (functional) is an asset;
  • Have a positive attitude;
  • Be concerned about a job well done and have a sense of responsibility.

Salary: Starting at $23/hour

Expected hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule

  • Day shift from Monday to Friday at noon;
  • Evening shift from Monday to Thursday (4 days + bonus).
