Job description

Our client in Kitchener Ontario is looking for experienced CNC Lathe Machinists.

Pay Range – $33-39/hr based on relevant experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. CNC Machine effectively and efficiently in a Custom Machining environment.
  2. Ability to read & interpret blue prints, GD&T drawings, charts & tables. Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Ability to determine a machining process sequence per customer information & requirements provided in the Part Print.
  4. Identify opportunities for improvement via new tooling, set up reduction concepts and programming changes to improve cost and delivery.
  5. Program using Mastercam and able to make decisions and edit programs if needed.
  6. Ability to work as a Team.
  7. Attention to Detail.
  8. Willing to work overtime if required.
  9. Work Safely and respectfully.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Machinist trade certificate or 5 – 10 years experience as a CUSTOM Machinist.
  2. Experience in machine setup & Operation of Manual & CNC Lathes.
  3. Responsible for setup and operation of CNC Lathe’s.
  4. Experience machining Automation and Die components.
  5. Experience with Okuma control is an asset.
  6. Knowledge CAD Software, Mastercam preferred.
  7. Perform daily machine checks for preventative maintenance and safety procedures.
  8. Check all dimensions and tolerance.
