Job summary

A manufacturing company in Chilliwack is seeking a CNC Operator for their marine division. This is a day shift role, where you'll set up and run CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. Ideal candidates have experience in CNC machining, particularly with HAAS machines, and possess strong attention to detail and organization skills. This position offers a vibrant team environment and consistent work hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Experience with HAAS Machines is an asset.
  • Must be reliable and show up for work consistently.
  • Level 1 or 2 First Aid is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review set-up sheets and drawings to complete machined parts.
  • Load tools and perform set-ups for the completion of a job.
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed and identify issues.

Skills

Experience in set-up and operation of CNC Mill/Lathe
Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers)
Good at math with analytical abilities
Strong organizational skills

Job description

Our client, located in Chilliwack,is looking for a positive, energetic, and driven person to join our Machine Shop as a CNC Operator. Working as part of a strong collaborative team in the marine division, the CNC Operator will set up and run various jobs to produce accurate parts for our the marine line products.

This position will be the day shift – Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:15pm.

You will:

  • Review set-up sheets and drawings to complete machined parts
  • Load tools and perform set-ups for the completion of a job
  • Take measurements and make adjustments to produce precision parts
  • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain consistency and identify issues
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
  • Must be reliable and show up for work consistently

You have:

  • Experience in set-up and operation of CNC Mill/Lathe
  • Experience with HAAS Machines is an asset
  • Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers) to take accurate measurements
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Good at math with analytical abilities
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
  • Proven ability to work well under minimal supervision and can take directions and follow through
  • Level 1 or 2 First Aid is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills
