Job summary

SyBridge Technologies is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to support our precision machining operations in Canada. The role focuses on operating and setting up CNC lathes, with 3-axis programming and familiarity with Mastercam as a possible asset, producing parts to tight tolerances and on schedule.

The position requires experience programming CNC machines, operating multiple machines, and a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three (3) years of related experience operating CNC.
• Three (3) years’ experience programming CNC machines (3-AXIS, MasterCam software is an asset).
• Lathe experience.
• Ability to operate multiple machines at a time and work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
• Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Import, manipulate, and process 3D models.
• Machine steel with close attention to health and safety requirements.
• Program, setup and operate the CNC machine using FeatureCam/PowerMill.
• Machine mold plates, components, cores and cavities; holding tolerances as tight as less than 0.0005.
• Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments/probe to ensure first time quality.
• Complete checklistsand report deviations from specified tolerances.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Assist in therepair of machine tools and parts, as needed.
• Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
• Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.

The CNC Lathe Machinist plays a key role in producing high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and production timelines.
