Job summary

Macfab Manufacturing Inc. is seeking CNC turning technicians for afternoon shifts in Mississauga. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC turning centers with live tooling, loading and modifying programs, adjusting feeds and speeds, deburring parts, and ensuring GD&T specifications are met.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC turning experience, Fanuc or Haas controls, and familiarity with Mastercam; aerospace or job shop experience is a plus. Salary ranges from $22–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in CNC turning preferred.
• Certificate, college degree or other training in CNC turning is an asset.
• Fanuc or Haas experience is a must.
• Familiarity with Mastercam preferred.
• Previous aerospace experience preferred.
• Previous job shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC turning centres with live tooling.
• Use appropriate tools, fixtures and indicators to set up the machine.
• Load, unload, change and modify programs as required.
• Change and set cutting tools.
• Modify and grind tools as required.
• Adjust feeds and speeds for maximum efficiency.
• Operate the machine with all safety precautions in place.
• Deburr and prepare parts for loading and after unloading.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance.
• Read and interpret blue prints.
• Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• All other duties as assigned.

Positions and Shifts

Multiple Positions on Afternoon Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
