Position Overview

We are seeking a Supervisor for the Cormorant Mid-Life Upgrade (CMLU) Program, which extends the life expectancy of the CH-149 Cormorant helicopter to at least 2042. The supervisor will oversee production personnel activities, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements, specifications, quality procedures, and work instructions, under the guidance of the Aircraft Production Manager.


What You Will Do
  • Review technical work packages and conduct fact-finding.
  • Support production, facilities, and infrastructure planning.
  • Analyze production personnel requirements and qualifications.
  • Supervise production workforce.
  • Coordinate activities to meet work schedules and priorities.
  • Mentor and develop technicians’ qualifications and authorizations.
  • Maintain departmental records and files.
  • Draft reports and correspondence.
  • Support risk management by identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with IMP departments and customers on technical matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Aircraft Production Manager.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
What You Will Bring
  • Graduate of a Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent DND training.
  • Knowledge of aerospace terminology, drawings, aircraft systems, and maintenance policies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and independently when needed.
  • Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to optimize production planning and efficiency.
  • Experience with AW101/CH149 helicopters or aircraft manufacturing is an asset.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality assurance standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, or manufacturing, with 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program, Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
  • Willingness to undergo up to 10 weeks of training, including international travel.
