Job summary

Magnet Forensics is seeking a seasoned SRE-DevOps professional to join our GrayKey cloud platform team. You will own day-to-day reliability, operate across Pacific and Mountain hours, and work independently to keep production AWS environments, IAM, and networks healthy and secure.

You will write automation code (AI-assisted tooling encouraged), contribute to runbooks, and participate in code reviews and incident post-mortems while documenting security controls and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AWS, Linux, and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and incident response: watch alerts and dashboards, triage incidents, and escalate with context.
• Patching and vulnerability remediation: keep Linux hosts, containers, and dependencies current.
• Network and access: manage VPCs, security groups, VPN, DNS, TLS, IAM, and Fortigate firewalls; Terraform and GitLab MR workflows.
• Identity: admin Okta SAML/OIDC integrations, provisioning, MFA troubleshooting.
• Kubernetes operations: support EKS clusters, troubleshoot workloads, Argo CD sync issues.
• Backup and recovery: maintain backup strategies and test restores.
• Runbooks and documentation: write and maintain operating procedures.
• Cost and automation: track AWS spend and script repetitive toil.
• Compliance support: gather evidence and maintain controls for audits.
• Team practice: participate in code reviews, planning, and post-incident reviews.
• Travel: less than 5%.
