The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Specialist to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions that support our business objectives. This is a hands-on technical role that requires deep expertise in AWS services and a passion for cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS.
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning and management.
3. Cloud Services: Implement and optimize AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, WAF, EventBridge, Config, Control Tower, etc.
4. Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing robust access controls and monitoring.
5. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
6. Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support application deployment and integration.
8. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve cloud-related issues, providing timely support to ensure minimal downtime.
9. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and procedures.
10. Innovation: Stay up-to-date with Cloud advancements and emerging cloud technologies, recommending improvements to enhance our cloud strategy.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions on AWS.
3. Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, WAF, EventBridge, Config, Control Tower, etc.
4. Experience with comparable Azure and GCP services is a plus.
5. Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, etc.
6. Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
7. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
8. Experience with general networking infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, switches, routers, etc.) is a plus.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
10. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
11. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
