Reporting to Enterprise Architect, the role collaborates with business units, engineering, data, and security teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions, build reusable patterns, and drive FinOps, automation, and operational

Qualifications

• Expert in cloud architecture with Azure and AWS.
• Experience implementing IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and data governance for Canadian operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide solution design and build for end-to-end cloud solutions, primarily across Microsoft Azure, with some AWS, aligned to enterprise architecture, security standards, operational requirements, and Canadian compliance obligations.
• Advise on translating business and engineering needs into scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective technical architectures.
• Develop and maintain solution architecture artefacts, including HLDs, LLDs, reusable patterns, and implementation roadmaps, in alignment with enterprise standards.
• Provide expert direction for integration solutions, including APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, identity integration, and secure connectivity patterns.
• Recommend and apply automation standards for IaC and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep).
• Provide solution assurance and expert validation during implementation (IaC, CI/CD, identity, networking, monitoring, security).
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, data governance, data residency, audit and risk management for Canadian operations.
• Influence IT, security, architecture, and business teams to adopt reusable cloud patterns and reference architectures.
• Contribute to strategy, and roadmap discussions through expert technical advice and risk assessments.
• Guide optimization of cloud solutions for performance, resilience, security, and cost with FinOps mindset.
• Anticipate emerging cloud/AI capabilities and guide pragmatic application to business outcomes.
