About the Role:

Location: 100% remote

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Solution Architect with expertise in Power BI, Power BI Embedded, SQL Server, and related. The French Canada Power BI resource will be mostly working with French-speaking customers, as there’s enough work once the resources are ramped up. Resource needs to be an SME, be proactive & consultative–they will drive many of the conversations.

Day to day:

• Focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments, and providing expert guidance.
• Train customers and share industry and development expertise.
• Be part of a thriving developer community that's constantly looking for ways to improve our customers’ experience, software development goals, and use of technology.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure deliveries align with customer projects and milestones.
• Gain access to expertise and support from the client's consulting practice and product group.
• Growth Mindset.
• Maintain and extend accreditations and certifications, assist in developing best practices for key technologies and products to support technical team readiness.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships, and gain trust and respect for Client Premier.
• Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation, and training skills.

Requirements:

• Enterprise-level support and administration focused specifically on Power BI and SQL.
• Solving performance problems, query tuning, and optimization.
• Architecting for High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions using FCI, Always On Availability groups.
• Delivering and/or authoring technical training.
• Previous Consulting and/or customer-facing role.
• Power BI optimization & troubleshooting – it’s critical that this person be able to TROUBLESHOOT issues with existing reporting, such as ‘why are reports running slowly’. They will need a data modeling background/skillset to help with this.
• Power BI Governance, how containment works, and controls around deploying Power BI.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between CAD 130K-140K annually. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
