Description

We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect for a client in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have experience working on cloud and development-focused projects within the banking sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead cloud strategy and transformation, including cloud migration roadmaps and cloud-native application architecture design based on client needs and industry trends.
2. Produce estimates for system migration, design, development, and testing.
3. Embrace Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Agile engineering practices in client engagements.
4. Review and guide technical teams to ensure quality and compliance with cloud architecture and business requirements.
5. Ensure enforcement of enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures in client engagements.
6. Lead, mentor, and coach technical teams on client projects.
7. Assist with proposals and pre-sales activities.
8. Lead development of ALETHA's intellectual property and best practices in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Application Design, and Cloud Delivery Frameworks.
9. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• At least 10 years of development and architecture experience.
• Professional experience in application development, system integration, cloud-native development, and cloud infrastructure, including platform-as-a-service.
• Understanding of cloud migration challenges, solutions, and accelerators for public and private cloud in financial services industries.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in system design or development using Java, C#, .NET, AngularJS, or Python.
• Experience architecting or developing applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud integration.
• Knowledge of cloud chargeback models and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platform services like compute, storage, web development, data security, and management.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, serverless functions, event-driven programming, REST APIs, and other cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and Agile practices.
• Business knowledge in financial industries such as banking, wealth management, or fintech is preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications as an AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Pro) or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert are preferred.
