Your Team

The Engineering team develops software solving critical digital forensic problems. We create well-tested, high-performance code and intuitive UIs, understanding that minutes matter in cases involving national security or life-and-death situations. Our community values collaboration, continuous learning, humor, and creativity—including emojis, GIFs, and team jokes.

The Cloud Site Reliability Engineer Role

You will be a key member of Magnet's upcoming cloud product teams, establishing DevOps practices and setting operational standards for SaaS products.

What You Will Accomplish

  1. Participate in designing and implementing cloud deployment strategies.
  2. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless, reliable, and auditable deployments.
  3. Lead the implementation of React-based websites delivering core business features.
  4. Create and manage monitoring dashboards to debug and understand production issues.
  5. Help build scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available applications with cost efficiency.
  6. Develop thorough, performant test suites to minimize issues in production.
  7. Collaborate with other teams to ensure application security and address vulnerabilities.
  8. Provide thought leadership, support, and coaching within and across teams.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience managing SaaS applications on cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications are a plus.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for SaaS products.

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Experience with React web applications.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Disaster recovery experience and calmness under pressure.
  • Experience with observability tools like Datadog or CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
  • Performance and cost optimization skills.
  • Security-focused cloud solution experience.
  • Experience with system testing, load, and chaos tests.
  • Strong planning, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Salary ranges vary by location and are based on qualifications and experience.
  • Incentive components may apply for certain roles.
  • Range for this role (CAD): $87,200 - $109,000 - $130,800.
