Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience in security architecture, information security, IT or information risk management.
• Minimum 4 years experience establishing Cloud Security Architectures in AWS, with Azure, Google Cloud experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set vision, lead and coach security architecture and automation teams for cloud solutions and controls.
• Adopt and champion Agile methodologies to improve workflow velocity and leadership visibility into project timelines.
• Maintain vigilance about current threat vectors and cloud security tool ecosystem.
• Develop security patterns to enable developers to design and build applications with appropriate security controls.
• Drive a data-driven culture with KPIs fed to automated tooling to improve reliability and performance.
• Standardize and automate security tools configuration/patching in the cloud.
• Prototype new security tools and technologies while optimizing and consolidating tools.
• Automate security testing in CI/CD pipelines to improve the development lifecycle.

Freddie Mac has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Technical Lead of Security Architecture. The focus will be on improving security designs of existing and new solutions in both on-premise and cloud ecosystems.

Your Impact

• Set vision, lead and coach security architecture and automation teams accountable for designing and architecting cloud solutions and cloud security controls.
• Adopt and champion Agile methodologies to improve workflow velocity and leadership visibility into project timelines and efficiency.
• Maintain vigilance about current threat vectors and expertise of the ecosystem of cloud security-related tools.
• Develop security patterns to enable developers to design and build applications with appropriate security controls.
• Drive and adopt a culture driven by data where key performance indicators are gathered from top to bottom and fed to automated tooling to improve system reliability and performance.
• Standardize and automate security tools configuration/patching processes in the cloud.
• Prototype new security tools and technologies based on organizational strategy and evolving threats while looking for opportunities to optimize, consolidate and manage out tools that no longer meet company needs.
• Automate security testing in the CI/CD pipelines to improve application development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience working in security architecture, information security, information technology or information risk management related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience establishing Cloud Security Architectures in AWS, with Azure, Google Cloud Platform experience additionally beneficial.
• CISSP, CISA, AWS or/and Azure certifications is desirable

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $150,000 – $224,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
