Job summary

HCLTech Canada is seeking a Cloud Operations / Systems Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to support enterprise cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. You will contribute to platform stability, operational continuity, and infrastructure reliability across large-scale setups.

In this role you will manage production and lab environments, drive patch management, monitoring, incident handling in Azure DevOps, and ensure security and compliance across Windows and Linux systems in hybrid

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations.
• Experience with hybrid enterprise environments and mission-critical systems.
• Proficient in patch management, security alignment, and compliance.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and lab environments.
• Ensure availability, stability, and compliance with infrastructure standards.
• Perform configuration management, patching, and updates.
• Execute patch deployments and firmware upgrades.
• Validate servicing cycles and post-implementation checks.
• Align with security and compliance standards.
• Monitor compute, storage, and virtualization layers.
• Conduct health checks and performance analysis.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve system resilience.
• Manage Incidents (ICM) and defects via Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Analyze logs, telemetry, and infrastructure alerts.
• Monitor hardware health and firmware status.
• Support diagnostics, remediation, and maintenance tracking.
• Ensure overall infrastructure stability and continuity.
• Strong experience in Cloud Infrastructure Operations.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Incident Management (ICM).
• Experience in patch management and release servicing.
• Exposure to virtualization and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
