ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Show an awareness and ability to use scripting, automation tools and software that are available and currently in use.
  2. Build, configure, administer, and support network infrastructure technologies and solutions, including networking, computing, storage, physical infrastructure, and software.
  3. Maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of information systems through compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  4. Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical issues, ensuring solutions meet business requirements. Take full accountability for actions and decisions.
  5. Identify problems, analyze causes, and implement remedies, classifying and prioritizing issues effectively.
  6. Create specifications and design networking solutions to meet business needs, translating business problems into technical designs, exploring different approaches.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge of relevant technologies, stay informed of industry developments, and utilize emerging tools and technologies cost-effectively.
  8. Support service delivery by providing solutions per specifications and adhering to project deadlines and budgets.
  9. Document all technical solutions where relevant and necessary.
  10. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions across infrastructure to ensure proactive and reactive support.
  11. Support out-of-hours project activities and participate in on-call rotations.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manage Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki Switches and Wi-Fi, Barracuda WAFs, Azure networking components (LBs, vnets, peering, UDRs, service endpoints, landing zones, Azure vWAN, DNS).
  2. Possess extensive experience with cloud networking.
  3. Experience with IaaS and PaaS cloud services.
  4. Configure and deploy Azure DevOps for cloud networking components and devices like PAs and Barracuda WAFs.
Skills & Knowledge
  1. Ability to provide training on networking concepts and technologies to team members.
  2. Quick understanding of complex network topologies and documentation skills.
  3. Design and deliver complex networking solutions to support projects.
