Job summary

CC&L Financial Group is seeking a Principal Architect, Cloud & Identity Infrastructure to own the Cloud & Identity domain within Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering. You will define architecture, standards, and guardrails for scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient platforms across Azure, AWS, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.

You will lead with hands‑on depth, translate business needs into platform capabilities, and guide complex decisions while collaborating with Security, Operations, and Architecture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Strong background in hybrid on‑prem and cloud integration.
• Deep knowledge of modern identity (Entra ID, MFA, SSO, federation) and Microsoft 365 services.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure and AWS.
• Practical skills in automation and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep; CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Own the Cloud & Identity platform domain and drive health, direction, and outcomes across Azure/AWS, Entra ID, AD, and Microsoft 365 from architecture and security perspectives.
• Define target architectures, standards, and guardrails to ensure scalability, security, cost efficiency, and consistency.
• Own identity foundations, including authentication/authorization models and access patterns across cloud and legacy environments.
• Communicate capabilities, constraints, and roadmaps clearly to business and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other Platform Owners and SMEs to align designs with standards and drive key trade‑offs.
• Be accountable for platform outcomes—scalability, reliability, and cost management—and evolve platforms proactively.
• Guide platform consumption patterns with a focus on self‑service and reduced central dependencies.
