Job summary

Desjardins is advancing its cloud migration and maximizing value across public cloud platforms. As a FinOps specialist in our multi-cloud environment, you’ll advise teams, support FinOps maturity, and help optimize costs while delivering IT solutions within an agile squad.

You will analyze consumption, propose rightsizing and tiering strategies, assist with IaC implementations, and develop dashboards to monitor financial performance of cloud services for stakeholders at multiple levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  • French language required.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, OCI, AWS and GCP).
  • Proficiency in cloud consumption analysis.
  • Proficiency in helping cloud users develop FinOps maturity.
  • Knowledge of networking.
  • Knowledge of automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Knowledge of Terraform.
  • Knowledge of cloud services pricing.
  • Basic knowledge of the containers-as-a-service (CaaS) model, FinOps for containerized environments and Azure Data Explorer (ADX).

  • Help achieve the squad’s objectives based on the priorities for the product backlog and roadmap.
  • Serve as a FinOps practices specialist in a public multi-cloud environment.
  • Help cloud users develop FinOps maturity and decision‑making autonomy.
  • Analyze consumption and recommend optimization strategies. For example rightsizing, tiering, autoscaling and storage optimization
  • Advise teams on cloud service pricing and financial optimization best practices.
  • Help implement and develop cloud infrastructure based on infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Leverage recommendations from cloud providers to identify the greatest efficiency gains.
  • Participate in developing tools, indicators, dashboards and practices that support the squad’s service offering.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer and training activities for IT users.
  • Produce clear, easy-to-understand recommendations for technical and management audiences.
  • Influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization to encourage the adoption of best practices for the financial management of cloud services.
  • Monitor industry trends, tools and practices for FinOps and cloud optimization.

Our FinOps squad works with teams to adopt best cloud consumption practices to improve financial efficiency, decision‑making autonomy and infrastructure resource optimization.
