Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Canada to support and scale cloud-based data environments. You will onboard applications to Databricks and build Data Landing Zones, working with Azure, IaC, automation, and deployment pipelines.

As a first-line technical contact, you will troubleshoot requests, automate repetitive tasks, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams to improve cloud operations and Databricks deployment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with Databricks in a technical or operational environment.
• 1–3 years of experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience in application support, technical operations, or cloud support.
• Familiarity with Azure; exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Understanding of Databricks Unity Catalog, RBAC, authentication, Delta Sharing is desirable.
• Experience in Azure ecosystem and cloud resource management.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, or AWS CDK.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to application teams via ServiceNow.
• Gather and analyze requirements for onboarding new Data Landing Zones (DLZs).
• Execute pipelines and scripts to provision/modify Azure and Databricks resources.
• Support deployment of Azure resources using IaC practices.
• Identify repetitive tasks and develop automation to improve efficiency and response times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and onboard smoothly.
• Create and maintain documentation of support procedures and configurations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud support operations and the Databricks environment.
