Job summary

Insight Global seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design and scale our Azure-based deployment platform supporting Java, Python, and C++ applications. You will implement robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment workflows, and build scalable, observable infrastructure across Linux environments.

You will optimize Docker containerization, refine monorepo strategies, and advance automation with Codex-powered tooling to accelerate testing and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps, build engineering, or CI/CD automation experience.
• Strong practical experience with GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline design, reusable templates, merge trains, and multi-project pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Git branching strategies and monorepo workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, including writing and troubleshooting Dockerfiles.
• Scripting and automation experience for deployment workflows and pipeline management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including reusable templates, merge trains, and multi-project configurations.
• Develop and optimize Git branching strategies and monorepo workflows across languages.
• Build and maintain Dockerfiles and support containerized deployments.
• Create scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment, CI/CD, and testing.
• Implement pre-commit hooks, code quality checks, and automated quality gates.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures by analyzing logs and diagnosing issues across Java, Python, and C++ environments.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and dashboards with Grafana/Prometheus/Loki.
• Work in Linux environments and use CLI to optimize workflows.
• Explore AI-assisted automation using Codex to trigger tests and assist troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with teams to build scalable, reliable DevOps infrastructure.
