Job description

Position Description:

As a Cloud Senior Developer, you will be part of a global central team distributed between Montréal and Paris, responsible for our Public Cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will serve as the main point of contact for the AMER region, supporting teams across various business lines that utilize the platform.

The team manages all layers necessary to offer Public Cloud services for IT in Investment Banking, including network, security, automation, FinOps, and expertise. The firm primarily uses Azure, with some AWS usage. Only secured services such as AKS, Synapse, Service Bus, HDInsight, and Azure Database are available for use.

Technologies leveraged include scripting with Terraform, shell scripts, PowerShell, and development of tools/portal/APIs in .NET or Java to provide additional services.

The team collaborates closely with the Big Data team responsible for Azure DataLake offerings. You will participate in designing platform evolution, implementation, production support, and providing expertise for project onboarding.

Daily responsibilities include:

1. Building automation for provisioning Azure services with security constraints.
2. Maintaining existing Azure services, upgrading versions, and managing relationships with Microsoft for incidents.
3. Developing tools for cloud-related services such as cost monitoring and resiliency checks.
4. Creating code samples and templates to facilitate cloud adoption.
5. Maintaining CI/CD pipelines for build and testing.
6. Training new Azure users and advising on architecture and solutions.

Candidate profile:

Must Have:

• Strong knowledge of Azure, especially network components.
• Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and Terraform.
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies.
• Knowledge of security policies, IAM, etc.

Nice to Have:

• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Degree or certifications in computer science or related fields.
