Title: Administrator

Job Details

Job Overview:

  1. Managing all stakeholders' (Board members) expectations.
  2. Managing day-to-day operations and activities of the whole facility including cleaning and waste management.
  3. Preparing and proposing plans for organizational improvement and community benefit.
  4. Monitoring and managing building maintenance in civil (plumbing, roof leakages), electrical, and HVAC areas while regularly reporting any issues to Shura and getting jobs done in a timely manner.
  5. Managing and monitoring the security of the building and whole facility (inside and outside).
  6. Coordinating and facilitating various committees and Madrasa activities at ICM/MDI.
  7. Participating in various organizational meetings, preparing and distributing minutes, which includes Shura meetings, educational & school meetings, sports, and other activity meetings.
  8. Creating and developing various procedural and policy documents for organizational control.
  9. Following up on various issues and open items with concerned board members.
  10. Dealing/liaising with various outside governmental/non-governmental bodies through phone and email and resolving issues if any.
  11. Searching and working with various government agencies funded programs beneficial for ICM.
  12. Participating and managing all ongoing and future ICM projects.
  13. Dealing with contractors, assigning and monitoring work progress, reviewing and approving invoices for payments.
  14. Allocating resources, providing logistic support, and arranging the requirements for various activities and programs.
  15. Managing and organizing all events in the centre, their supplies, and logistics.
  16. Managing all promotional and marketing material, artwork design, and printing.
  17. Facilitating and giving full logistic support on our calendarized religious program with the program coordinator.
  18. Procurement of supplies and other items required from time to time.
  19. Managing Ramadan Iftar and Taraveeh preparation (logistics and supplies).
  20. Ensuring waste management is lifted in a timely manner.
  21. Preparing Friday announcements, getting approvals, and ensuring area readiness.
  22. Eid arrangements and preparation.
  23. Listening to congregants' complaints, collecting suggestions, and advice for the improvement of programs and operations and other areas of the facility and Masjid.
  24. Participating in planning and execution of fundraising activities.
  25. Assisting the Director of Finance in accounting activities including bookkeeping, creating financial statements, and dealing with banks when required.
  26. Any other job assigned by ICM Shura from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year

Benefits: Casual dress

Flexible language requirement: French not required

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed

Application question(s): Passionate about community service, Valid Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable sector report, Previous experience in customer administration, Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and congregants, Responsible, reliable, and able to handle various situations with maturity.

Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
