Job Title : Close Protection Operative (Contract – On-Call)

Location : Various (Primarily GTA, with potential for domestic and international travel)

Position Overview :

We are seeking experienced and licensed Close Protection Operatives (CPOs) to support occasional, high-profile assignments. These may include executive movements, event coverage, family protection, secure travel, and high-risk engagements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide close protection for clients, including principals, family members, and associates
• Provide security at high profile events, locations and residences
• Conduct risk assessments and plan secure movements (routes, venues, contingency planning)
• Collaborate with internal Blackmark teams and other security personnel
• Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and a high level of professionalism at all times
• Remain situationally aware and prepared to respond to threats or incidents
• Ensure a seamless, secure experience for clients in both high- and low-profile environments

Requirements :

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (or equivalent in other jurisdictions)
• Prior experience in close protection, executive security, law enforcement, or military an asset
• Valid First Aid / CPR certification
• Clean criminal background and driving record
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times
• Eligibility for international travel preferred

Assets (Preferred but Not Required) :

• Additional language skills
• Experience in surveillance detection or travel risk management
• Use of force experience (where legally applicable)
• Defensive / evasive driving certification

Compensation :

Competitive daily and hourly contract rates based on experience and assignment type.
