Job Summary

The Team
The Corporate Wildfire Services team at the Northwest Fire Centre is an established, collaborative group that plays a key role in supporting wildfire response through essential financial and administrative services. The Role
This role plays a key part in supporting wildfire response by ensuring contractors and suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and by helping staff manage expenses effectively. Responsibilities include reconciling purchase cards, processing invoices, preparing onboarding documents, and assisting with finance operations during wildfire events. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and where your work directly supports emergency response efforts across the province. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Experience working in an office setting and computerized systems


Preference statement(s)
  • Preference may be given to candidates with training or experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping

  • To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities, assignments, and corporate structures
  • To keep current on emerging issues
  • To take in-house training and certification as required
  • To fly in aircraft (fixed wing and rotary) as required

This temporary (auxiliary) opportunity starts in approximately August 2025 and ends in November 2025, with possibility of recall on a yearly basis. This position may be extended.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
