A leading health authority is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to provide advanced clinical practice and support for clients facing mental health and substance use issues. The role involves working collaboratively within a treatment team, focusing on short-term counseling and outreach. Candidates should have a Master's degree and relevant experience, particularly with Indigenous communities. Strong interpersonal and clinical skills are essential for success in this position.

Reports to the Coordinator or designate. Utilizing advanced clinical knowledge, the clinician contributes to service efficiency and practice advancement. Working within organizational standards as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, the focus is on short-term counselling. The role involves providing advanced clinical practice, assessment, intervention, treatment, outreach, consultation, and referral for clients and their caregivers/families experiencing mental health and substance use issues. Travel may be required, and transportation arrangements must meet operational needs.
Additional requirements include knowledge of mental health and addiction issues, assessment and treatment methodologies, crisis intervention, and relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act and Guardianship Act. A valid BC Driver's License is also required.
