Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Canadian health information systems, standards, technologies, or software.
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with clinicians for activities including requirements gathering.
  • 5+ years of experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) across full project lifecycles.

Job Description:
  • The Endpoint User Experience Lead will play a key role in improving clinical workflows through the strategic deployment and optimization of endpoint devices and related peripherals in a hospital environment.
  • The successful candidate will deliver user-centered strategies, deployment plans, usability testing, and communication frameworks to support the implementation of Clinical Information Systems and enhance clinician satisfaction and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Document clinician-centered requirements for endpoint devices and related peripherals, identifying pain points and inefficiencies.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive user experience strategy aligned with key goals and metrics for clinical users.
  • Ensure alignment between clinical experience and the technical strategy, including devices, tools, and infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed project and work plans, mapping workflows, endpoint placements, and usability constraints.
  • Review endpoint usability, accessibility, and environmental factors and make recommendations on device mix, mounts, furniture, and space constraints.
  • Define standards for endpoint devices, placement, and lifecycle management (procurement, configuration, deployment, support).
  • Develop usability testing plans, training, and readiness plans for end users.
  • Deliver endpoint device readiness and deployment plans, including CIS compatibility and inventory reports.
  • Define support strategy with SLA documentation and escalation protocols.
  • Create communication and measurement plans, including metrics dashboards and user feedback reporting.
  • Engage and communicate regularly with business and clinical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Address feedback through a structured end-user communication and feedback report.
  • Sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to beginning the engagement.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in a user experience leadership role on at least one major Clinical Information System implementation project.
  • 5+ years of experience with Canadian health information systems, standards, technologies, or software.
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with clinicians for activities including requirements gathering, facilitation, use case analysis, and business process analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) across full project lifecycles.
Experience:
  • Experience capturing clinician requirements related to endpoint devices and mapping workflows in hospital settings (5+ years).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in large and complex healthcare environments (5+ years).
  • Experience implementing endpoint technologies such as laptops, thin clients, mobile carts, Tap N Go, and mobile devices (3+ years).
  • Previous clinical experience in a hospital setting (asset).
