Job Title: Clinical Support Technician 3

Overview

The University of Rochester is seeking a Clinical Support Technician 3 to join the Microbiology department at 211 Bailey Rd, Rochester, NY. This role involves managing laboratory schedules, supporting staff, and ensuring compliance with training and operational standards.

Location & Schedule

Address: 211 Bailey Rd, Rochester, NY 14586

Shift: Evening (United States of America)

Hours: As scheduled, Part-time/Per Diem

Compensation

Range: $20.31 - $27.42 per hour. Salaries are determined based on experience, education, and internal equity.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and maintain department staff schedules, including requesting time off, approving changes, and preparing schedules in advance.
  2. Ensure sufficient staffing levels and assist with filling shifts.
  3. Coordinate training, orientation, and continuing education for staff.
  4. Review and process timesheets, develop payroll methods, and train staff on HRIS systems.
  5. Monitor staff compliance with competency and training requirements.
  6. Handle scheduling SOPs and participate in special projects related to scheduling and payroll.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in laboratory sciences or related field; technical training relevant to the role.
  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
