Location: Treatment & Rehab G3/H3
Facility: Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care - London, ON
Type: Temporary Regular Part Time
Salary Range: $29.11 - $34.23 /hour

This temporary part-time position is expected to extend until February 6, 2026, and is subject to the availability of work.

Responsibilities include performing clerical reception and scheduling services, supporting staffing, screening calls and visitors, answering inquiries, scheduling tests/appointments, managing mail and supplies, maintaining client files, and keyboarding correspondence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completion of Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Graduate of a recognized medical secretarial or medical office assistant certificate program
  • Minimum one year recent healthcare-related experience
  • Accurate with figures and clerical details
  • Keyboarding speed of at least 40 wpm
  • Proficiency in Outlook and MS Office Suite, especially Word and basic Excel
  • Knowledge of office procedures and computerized patient data systems
  • Experience in record keeping and filing
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
  • Understanding of Safety Culture in Healthcare and OHSA compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French (asset)
  • Knowledge of psychiatric/medical terminology
  • Experience with computerized systems like Workbrain
  • Experience scheduling staff and managing payroll systems
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently or in a team
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza.
