Clinical Support Clerk, Adult Inpatient Mental Health Short Stay Stabilization Unit/Dual Diagnosis Program - 1 position

Location: Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care - London, ON
Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $29.11 - $34.23 /hour

Responsibilities include scheduling services, assisting with ward/team activities, supporting staffing and payroll, receptionist duties, screening calls and visitors, answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, mail sorting, supply management, maintaining client files and clinical records, and data entry.

Essential Qualifications
  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Recognition in medical secretarial or medical office assistant certificate program
  • Computer skills with Outlook and MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Typing accuracy of at least 40 wpm
  • Knowledge of office procedures, record keeping, and filing
  • Ability to work accurately with figures and clerical details
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of Safety Culture in Healthcare and OHSA compliance
  • Familiarity with One Chart
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional training in medical secretarial or office assistance
  • Knowledge of staffing, scheduling, and call-out systems
  • Proficiency in French (asset)
  • Understanding of psychiatric/medical terminology
  • Experience with computerized systems like Workbrain
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently or in teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
