Clinical Supervisor - Inpatient Treatment Services

Join to apply for the Clinical Supervisor - Inpatient Treatment Services role at Alberta Health Services.

Your Opportunity: Under the supervision of the Manager, Calgary Eating Disorder Program (CEDP), the Clinical Supervisor will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment services within the Eating Disorder Program. The role includes providing supervision and consultation to program staff across multiple sites to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality eating disorder services. The Clinical Supervisor will promote clinical development and education within the program, working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with regional and provincial partners. The work schedule is Monday – Thursday. This position transitions to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024, and by applying, you agree to become an employee of Recovery Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision for staff supporting addiction and/or mental health services.
  • Supervise assessment, mental health interventions, and related activities.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for supervised staff.
  • Review clinical documentation, observe sessions, conduct case consultations, and support staff with challenging cases.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, psychiatrists, and community partners.
  • Contribute to planning, implementation, and evaluation of mental health services.
  • Identify and address gaps in clinical practice and system-level issues.
  • Support leadership in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work or equivalent experience.
  • Active or eligible for full registration with the applicable regulatory college.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health assessment and intervention, including psychosocial interventions.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Registration in a relevant professional association (e.g., ACSW, CAP).
  • Extensive clinical experience in mental health/psychiatry, preferably with eating disorders.
  • Leadership and supervision experience in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Knowledge of evaluation strategies, outcome research, and system-level practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, and email.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced postgraduate training in family therapy.
  • Experience with eating disorders and providing supervision to staff and students.
  • Experience across the continuum of care (outpatient, day treatment, inpatient).
  • Experience with Connect Care is preferred.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta.
  • Part-time, 0.80 FTE, Days, 7.75-hour shifts.
  • Salary Range: $46.44 - $60.78 per hour.
