Support the clinical development and education, manage inventory and equipment, and customer education programs pertinent to Medtronic defined products and technology. Support the implementation of policies and procedures and participate in all facets of clinical and operational decision-making pertaining to the programs of the organizational unit. Train and educate investigators / customers on proper use of the Medtronic product and technology.
A Day in the Life
- Conducts on-site education and/or consulting.
- Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers.
- Partners with sales colleagues to develop and execute sales plans within one or more business units.
- Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
- Works closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management, and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support.
- Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.
- Serves as a technical resource to support sales of specific medical products or solutions.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
- Provides leadership in establishing, implementing, and promoting clinical education activities, including assessment, curriculum planning, communication, and skills development.
- Develops and executes clinical education programs to enhance user competencies.
- Cultivates relationships with strategic partners, including training centers and opinion leaders.
- Provides training for new employees on products, technology, and materials.
- Assists in developing objectives and programs for marketing and selling the company's products.
- Provides nursing and medical expertise in developing case reports, journal articles, and clinical reports from clinicians.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates educational workshops, programs, events, and activities, maintaining contact with customers to evaluate their needs.
- Leads efforts to place speakers at key conferences.
- Collaborates with other departments to establish priorities for company direction, new product development, and customer satisfaction.
- Documents all clinical support and education activities as part of education reporting requirements.
- Conducts Monthly Business Reviews with RSM & SPM.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree and enrollment in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD.
Job Experience
- At least 6 years of experience in healthcare or engineering with a High School Diploma or GED.
- Or at least 4 years with an Associate degree.
- Or at least 2 years with a bachelor's degree.
- Or 3 years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a pacing school program.
Nice to Have
- Background in Nursing Education is beneficial.
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare sales and/or marketing experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems at various levels.
