Position Overview

The Dr. Sandra Black Centre for Brain Resilience & Recovery at Sunnybrook Research Institute is seeking an energetic and experienced individual to perform clinical research activities in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will hold a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in psychology or neuroscience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience administering cognitive tests, coordinating clinical trials and observational research, and working with the elderly or individuals with cognitive difficulties.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable, with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing schedules
  • Self-motivated with initiative
Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with elderly volunteers and patients with cognitive impairments
  • Conduct patient screening, recruitment, consent, and schedule appointments
  • Administer and score neuropsychological tests and questionnaires
  • Maintain research databases and organize sample collection
  • Assist with ethics and grant applications, literature searches, and manuscript submissions
  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team and ensure professional communication
