Job Description
RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
Under the supervision of principal investigator, Dr. Rita Suri, the incumbent will work in collaboration with the members of the research team in different clinical studies.
General Duties
- Responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies,
- Executes all aspects of study visits,
- Collaborates with entire research and medical care team,
- Performs various types of medication administrations (i.e., oral, injections & intravenous medications),
- Monitors patient safety and medication compliance, completes patient charting accordingly,
- Verifies medication compliance and patient diaries, if applicable,
- Creates or collaborates in creating source documentation,
- Maintains, completes and updates: concomitant medication log, adverse event log, questionnaires, and protocol specific source documentation,
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)
Field of Study: Nursing
Other Education Considered An Asset For This Position
Work Experience: minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital ward
Professional Membership: ☒ Yes ☐ No

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written,
- Understands / is familiar with clinical trials
- protocols (an asset),
- Certification on governing clinical research trials (ICH-GCP) is an asset,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Flexible and autonomous, sense of ethics,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.
Additional information
Status : Temporary Occasional
Pay Scale: $24.40 to $45.29/hour. Commensurate with education & work experience.
Work Shift: Variable Schedule
Weekdays, sometimes weekends and after regular work hours depending on study needs.
Work Site: Multisite
Montreal General Hospital, Glen site, Lachine Hospital
