Job summary

Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) seeks a Clinical Research Associate to join our Monitoring Resource team. This remote, full-time freelance opportunity spans a 1-year contract and is open to candidates across Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba).

The role requires 3+ years in oncology CRA/CRC/Research Nurse, 1+ year monitoring in early-phase trials, and strong ICH-GCP knowledge. English fluency is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of oncology CRA/CRC/Research Nurse experience.
• At least 1 year of monitoring in early-phase trials.
• Experience in solid tumor trials (breast, lung, gastric, ovarian, pancreatic) preferred.
• Fluent English; French desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• Strong ICH-GCP knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Experience with clinical trial information systems.
• Ability to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Perform data verification of source documents.
• Conduct site visits including pre-study, initiation, monitoring, and termination.
• Confirm adherence to FDA, ICH-GCP, and local regulations.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with FDA and ICH-GCP guidelines.
• Participate in budget negotiation and follow-up where applicable.
• Assist with data validation and query resolution.
• Mentor junior team members as required.
• Ensure completion and collection of regulatory documents.

TRIO is seeking a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join our Monitoring Resource team. This is a remote, full-time freelance opportunity on a 1-year contract, open to candidates based in Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba).

Responsibilities

• Performing data verification of source documents;

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of oncology experience as a CRA, Clinical Research Coordinator, and/or Research Nurse;
• A minimum of 1 year of monitoring experience in an early-phase clinical trial;
• Experience in solid tumor trials, including breast, lung, gastric, ovarian, and/or pancreatic cancer, is preferred;
• Fluent English required; French is desirable
• Experience monitoring in phase I trials will be value
• Completion of a science-related Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and clinical monitoring process
• Strong ICH-GCPs knowledge
• Experience with clinical trial information systems
• Ability to travel up to 60% on average
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country

Pay Range: $80.00 to $100.00 Hourly

Hourly Rate to be influenced (or determined) by the education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
