Job Description: In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager or designate and working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Provides consultations, assessments, group and individual therapy in the complex pain intervention/management program using a variety of modalities and in accordance with professional standards and clinical policies and practices.
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Psychologist. Experience in complex pain management or a related field preferred. Experience with short-term individual and group therapy required. Knowledge of and experience with treatment specific to crisis stabilization an asset. Driver's license valid in BC.
