Additional Incentives: Successful external applicants may be eligible for a one-time signing bonus of up to $10,000 and relocation assistance of $5,000. A Return of Service Agreement (ROSA) is attached to these incentives.

The Opportunity

The IWK is a leading pediatric university teaching centre in Canada, offering regional tertiary health care. The Psychology discipline is vibrant, with over 60 psychologists providing services across Child Health and Mental Health & Addictions. The successful candidate will have opportunities for research, teaching, and collaboration within our Professional Practice Group. The position is within our Community Mental Health Service, focusing on assessments, consultations, and interventions for youth aged 3-19 years.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ph.D./PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university
  • Completion of an APA or CPA-accredited predoctoral internship
  • Eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
  • Experience in child/adolescent mental health
  • Proficiency in evidence-based assessment and treatment methods
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Additional language skills are an asset

Work Hours
