Interior Health Authority in Trail, BC is seeking a relief full-time Clinical Practice Educator to support the NICU at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. The position offers a structured shift from Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, and contributes to staff education and patient care excellence.

The CPE provides leadership in nursing education, applies nursing theory and leadership concepts, and supports a continuous quality improvement environment while guiding staff in the nursing process.

Qualifications

• Provides leadership in nursing education and instruction based on adult education principles.
• Assists the Manager in establishing and maintaining standards of care and in a continuous quality improvement environment.

Responsibilities

• The CPE applies nursing theory, advanced knowledge and leadership concepts in providing clinical guidance and resource support to staff.
• Provides guidance and support to staff in the application of the nursing process in patient/client care.

Job description

Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is seeking a relief full-time Clinical Practice Educator located in Trail, BC. This position supports the NICU unit at KBRH. The end date of this position is October 18, 2027, or return of incumbent.

Shift Times: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00.

What will you work on?

The Clinical Practice Educator provides leadership in the delivery of nursing education and instruction to staff and patients/clients based on adult education principles and philosophy within a specific clinical specialty or patient/client population. The CPE applies nursing theory, advanced knowledge and leadership concepts in providing clinical guidance and resource support to staff. The CPE assists the Manager in establishing and maintaining standards of care and in providing and participating in a continuous quality improvement environment. The CPE provides guidance and support to staff in the application of the nursing process in the provision of patient/client care.
