Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of professional photography experience, preferably in a clinical, medical aesthetics, or healthcare environment.

Role Overview

The Clinical Photographer will be responsible for producing, editing, organizing, and curating high-quality clinical photography that supports both clinical documentation and marketing initiatives. This includes photographing patients undergoing aesthetic and medical treatments (e.g., injectables, lasers, skin surgery), editing images using clinical imaging software (such as Mirror or equivalent), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding and patient confidentiality.

Role Objectives

  • Capture standardized, high-resolution before-and-after photos for a wide range of cosmetic and medical dermatology treatments, as well as surgical procedures.
  • Edit and enhance images using photography and clinical imaging software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Mirror) while maintaining clinical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with dermatologists, nurses, and aestheticians to ensure proper documentation of patient outcomes.
  • Maintain strict adherence to patient privacy (HIPAA/PHIPA compliant), obtain consent forms, and uphold professional standards.
  • Manage and maintain a secure photo archive organized by patient ID and treatment type.
  • Develop a professional look book showcasing a curated selection of anonymized before-and-after cases.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns by providing visuals for the website, brochures, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Ensure photography studio/space is properly maintained , including lighting, background, and camera setup to ensure image consistency.
  • Train clinic staff on basic photography protocol as needed.
  • Travel to other clinic locations occasionally, as required .

Role Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of professional photography experience, preferably in a clinical, medical aesthetics, or healthcare environment.
  • Experience with photo editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or clinical imaging software like Mirror is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with dermatology or medical environments is an asset.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong eye for visual detail and consistency in photography standards.
  • Ability to maintain patient comfort and professionalism during photo sessions.
  • Highly organized with excellent file management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of image privacy, consent, and ethical use of patient photography.
