Clinical Pharmacist (Sign-on Bonus Eligible)

SUMMARY: To manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to full scope in providing professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the maintenance of the dispensary.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide pharmacy and customer service, including counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
  • Practice within federal/provincial, regulatory, and legal requirements, ensuring all privacy standards are met.
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions, communicate with healthcare professionals, and maintain required records.

Workflow and Inventory Management:

  • Control access to the dispensary, review workflow queues, and monitor stock levels and expired inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and report as required.

Operations:

  • Maintain the appearance of workstations and areas, handle financial reports, and document incidents.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of pharmacy systems, and adherence to health and safety procedures.
