In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, this position provides pharmacy services to patients in Northern Health. As a member of an interprofessional team, this position assesses and recommends individualized treatments. Acts as the primary resource for drug information, education, and provides expert advice to healthcare professionals. Monitors drug prescribing, drug distribution, and drug therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal, and economic use of drugs. Maintains workload records and statistics.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER, and Maternity. Services include:

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy, current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or at least one year of hospital experience with advanced education courses. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
