Position Overview

This role reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and timely. You will ensure adequate inventory levels, counsel patients with proper documentation, and engage positively with customers. Additionally, you'll create awareness and educate the community through public relations activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, proactive manner
  • Educate customers through public health initiatives and community outreach
  • Provide timely resolutions to patient needs and address doctors' requests or issues
  • Provide medication extensions and OTC counseling
  • Prescribe for minor ailments and manage chronic diseases
  • Perform medication reconciliation, identify and resolve drug-related problems, support patient care goals, and conduct follow-ups as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, registered in good standing with ACP
  • Must have Additional Prescribing Authority (APA)
  • Excellent customer service, professionalism, leadership, and performance management skills
  • Strong community marketing abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills with experience in formulating and executing action plans
  • Proficiency with personal computing and knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy Computer system
