Overview

Are you someone who has a real passion for helping others? Are you a registered Clinical Pharmacist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Pharmacy department.


In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position provides pharmacy services to patients in Northern Health. As a member of an interprofessional team, this position assesses and recommends individualized treatments. Acts as the primary resource for drug information, education and provides expert advice to health care professionals. Monitors drug prescribing, drug distribution and drug therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal and economic use of drugs. Maintains workload records and statistics.

  • Provide pharmacy services to patients in Northern Health as part of an interprofessional team.

  • Assess and recommend individualized treatments.

  • Serve as the primary resource for drug information, education and expert advice to health care professionals.

  • Monitor drug prescribing, distribution and therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal, and economical use of drugs.

  • Maintain workload records and statistics.



Shift/Hours

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days 07:30 to 15:30. Position may be part of a future weekend rotation.



About Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year.



  • Endoscopy suite, 2 operating rooms, plus a procedure room

  • Ambulatory clinics including Cancer and Hemodialysis

  • Medical and Surgical inpatient rooms (40 beds)

  • 3 Intensive care units

  • Minor surgeries

  • 7 single Maternity rooms for Labour, Delivery, and Post-Partum


Fort St. John also has the Health Unit and Primary Care Clinic which serve the community.
