Job summary

Shared Health in Eriksdale is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to support the Eriksdale Laboratory with sample triaging, accessioning and processing. The MLA may perform basic routine procedures and phlebotomies under supervision, maintaining safety and quality standards in line with Accreditation.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 12, preferably completed MLA program, CSMLS certification preferred, and strong English communication; must be able to work days, evenings and weekends in

Qualifications

Completed Grade 12 or equivalent, Manitoba Standards, is required.
Completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program is preferred.
CSMLS Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification preferred.
Fluent English communication; may require French as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with sample triaging, accessioning and processing of specimens.
Perform phlebotomies and maintain safety/QA standards.
Operate in a team environment and follow established protocols.
