Clinical Manager, 2M, Fracture Clinic & Outpatient Rehab

This role is ideal for a results-oriented individual with a visionary, creative, and collaborative management style who is committed to organizational priorities aligned with Unity Health Toronto's mission and values.

You will leverage your team-building and change management skills to lead multidisciplinary teams, enhance patient-centered care, and integrate new models of care delivery, ensuring roles evolve with organizational needs. Responsibilities include overseeing patient care quality, resource utilization, staff development, and daily management of Inpatient Surgery, Outpatient Rehabilitation, and the Fracture Clinic.

You will support performance metrics to evaluate success and adapt strategies as needed. Reporting to the Clinical Program Director, you will develop pathways and best practices for outpatient surgical populations, ensuring exceptional care using key metrics. You should be a skilled leader capable of implementing departmental strategic goals and inspiring performance excellence, with a proven track record of service innovation and change management in a fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical, financial, and human resources focusing on quality outcomes for inpatient and outpatient orthopedic patients.
  • Lead clinical practice advancements through team-building and change management.
  • Develop and oversee quality improvement initiatives for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Support staff development and foster a motivated, cohesive team through educational strategies.
  • Ensure equitable patient care and collaborate with physicians for efficient service delivery.
  • Implement and manage change within units, supporting staff through transitions.
  • Build positive relationships with community partners and internal/external service providers.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives, committees, and planning forums.
Qualifications
  • Regulated Health Professional with a Master's Degree in Nursing or Health Discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years recent hospital experience preferred.
  • Experience working with inpatient and outpatient populations; relevant experience considered.
  • Proven expertise as a clinical resource for nursing staff.
  • Strong leadership, HR, and financial management skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and staff engagement ability.
  • Strategic thinking and a patient-centric approach.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, excellent communication skills, and alignment with organizational values.
  • Experience in developing education plans for surgical nurses and fostering innovation and creativity among staff.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
