Reporting to the Manager of Adult Outpatient Mental Health & Addiction Services, the Team Leader coordinates and supervises the operation of community-based mental & addiction services programs that deliver mental health & addiction assessment, treatment, and disposition planning to clients and their families with mental health disorders across the lifespan. Ensures and oversees the provision of comprehensive services to this target population. Liaison with local outpatient and other community-based services and agencies as well as with inpatient mental health units is encouraged to promote consistency and continuity of patient care.
The Team Leader provides clinical supervision/support to multi-disciplinary teams and ongoing and extensive clinical supervision to new clinicians and clinicians with little experience within this specialty as part of recruitment and retention strategies. This position will be based at the Cole Harbour Community Mental Health and Addictions clinic but will require travel to various sites within Central Zone. The role is supporting teams within Central Zone to ensure timely and appropriate transfers to the Community Mental Health and Addictions programs and the Connections teams.
