Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist III – Clinical Lead based at Red Deer Regional Hospital. You will provide strategic leadership for SLT services at the hospital and surrounding rural sites, while maintaining a clinical caseload for adults with swallowing and communication disorders.

You will supervise frontline staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and help plan services, workflows, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and registration with ACSLPA (Active or eligible).
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams is preferred.
  • Proficiency in assessment and treatment of adult swallowing and communication disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to frontline staff within Central Corridor sites.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload for adults with swallowing and communication disorders.
  • Deliver outpatient SLP services at Red Deer Regional Hospital.
  • Provide clinical coverage across Red Deer Regional Hospital and rural sites as needed in Acute Care and LTC.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care and efficient care delivery.
