Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist- Surgery

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced occupational therapist to assume the position of Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist within the acute surgical setting at York and Scarborough Trust. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual to provide leadership and drive innovation across our surgical services. The primary base for this role is York, with the requirement to travel to Scarborough as needed.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with occupational therapists and multi-professional colleagues throughout the Trust to ensure the highest standards of patient care. The post offers the chance to shape service delivery, work effectively within both local and regional teams, and lead improvements across occupational therapy pathways in the surgical context.
This role provides the opportunity to enhance clinical expertise in surgical services, while developing competencies across all Four Pillars of Practice. A significant focus is placed on leading clinical transformation initiatives and improvement projects within the service. Candidates will also have opportunities to engage in research, disseminate findings, and contribute to education within their areas of clinical expertise. Additionally, there is an expectation to support the learning and development of other occupational therapists and multidisciplinary team members through training, supervision, and reflective practice.
